My Top Five Pairings Which- Weirdly Enough- Most Are Crossovers
#5 Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III and Merida of DunBroch (How to Train Your Dragon, Brave):
I like this pairing probably because of the old timey feel they both have. I think the Scottish and Scandinavians/Vikings clashed in the past, but they still interacted which is interesting for this ship. Astrid's cool and all, actually I was rooting for her and Hiccup in the movie to get together when I first watched it. But this is a fun ship so, yeah
#4 Megamind and Rapunzel (Megamind, Tangled):
I don't really remember how I started liking this ship but I do. I think they both have sort of similar personalities and they tend to make a lot of the same facial expressions which reminds me of each other. Plus YouTube videos persuaded me. Like above, I rooted for Megamind to be with Roxanne and Rapunzel to be with Flynn as I watched their movies; this is still an interesting pair, though
#3 Gloyd Orangeboar and Vanellope von Schweetz (Wreck-It-Ralph):
I was hesitant to look for someone to ship Vanellope with but then I found the Sugar Rush racers and first I saw Rancis and considered it; then I found Gloyd and looked up more about him and decided he was really good for Vanellope! He seems less snooty than the others and more likely to be one of the first to befriend Vanellope, so yeah. Plus they're both sort of mischievous trickster types
#2 Jack Frost and Periwinkle (Rise of the Guardians, Secret of the Wings)
I honestly can't believe I never thought of this before. I forget how I found but now I just love this pair so much! I like to think of them in a Peter Pan and Tinker Bell relationship. So, they're best friends and go on adventures and stuff like Peter and Tink. And since Tink likes Peter, Peri has a crush on Jack; he doesn't like her that way but cares about her a lot as Peter does Tinker Bell. In Secret of the Wings, I feel like Peri is like Tink, but not as bold, like a little more meek. So, for instance, if some girl came along like Wendy and started trying to get closer to him, while Tink would be straightforward and go, "Bitch, he's mine!", Peri would be more "Hey... what're you doing?" Actually, when I was watching Rise of the Guardians, Baby Tooth fit the role I imagined Peri having pretty well... Anyways, even though this is an underground ship I still really like it; I never really got the other ships Jack is in, I guess.
#1 Peter Pan and Alice (Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland)
This is my very favorite pairing of all time. YouTube converted me. Originally I shipped ArielxPeter cause of something I thought of as a kid. But then somehow I just got into this ship! Alice is actually pretty similar to Wendy in that they have big imaginations and act pretty mature for their ages- and they don't want to live in reality. Interestingly enough, both girls are voiced by Kathryn Beaumont. So I think Alice and Peter would have an interesting relationship.
